Financial data provider Tullett Prebon Information has hired three salespeople in Dubai, Singapore and Shanghai as it seeks to expand its business.
The London-based firm, which provides real-time price information from inter-dealer brokered financial markets, says the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions present "major business opportunities" as large markets such as China become more accessible.
"The rapid development of these financial markets has heightened the appetite for independent, high quality OTC [over the counter] data," says Andrew Reeve, head of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. "With the opening up of territories such as China, as well as the introduction of new compliance and risk standards, firms are seeking the very best of both onshore and international content."
Based in Dubai, Leigh Carpenter joins as a sales executive covering India, the Middle East and Africa. Rhys Spencer, head of business development in Singapore, will aim to gather new clients in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and South Korea.
Rain Tian, based in Shanghai, will promote the firm's products in China, including onshore Chinese financial data from Tullett Prebon Sitico, a joint venture with Shanghai International Trust.
