Allfunds, a fund distribution platform with a Singapore office, has acquired the research business of Zurich-based fundinfo to expand its fund selection service and increase data analytics.
Allfunds already worked in document processing with fundinfo, a firm that manages and distributes fund information through an international network including global banks and fund platforms.
“Using fundinfo not just as a source of fund documents but also for a wide set of fund data is the next logical step,” said Juan Alcaraz, Allfunds chief executive.
Fundinfo’s research team will be integrated into Allfunds’ Zurich hub and fundinfo said the acquisition means existing clients would get an enhanced service.
The deal comes a week after Allfunds joined forces with Credit Suisse to create a
€500 billion wealthtech platform.
Allfunds has more than €380 billion in assets under administration and specialises in big data and analytics, portfolio and reporting tools, as well as research, and regulatory services.
