Fidelity International has bolstered its sustainable investing team by appointing a director for sustainable investing.
Daniela Jaramillo will be based in Melbourne for the newly created position, reporting to global head of stewardship and sustainable investing, Jenn-Hui Tan.
According to Fidelity, Jaramillo will be responsible for “further integrating sustainability considerations into the firm’s investment process”.
This will involve working with Fidelity’s research team on the firm’s proprietary sustainability ratings, supporting engagement and voting activities with investee companies and representing the firm’s sustainability efforts in Australia and New Zealand.
Jaramillo was most recently senior responsible investment adviser at Australian super fund, Hesta, and has also worked at Legal and General Investment Management in the UK and Wespath Investment Management in the US.
