Investec hires south-east Asia adviser chief

IndonesiaInvestec Asset Management has hired Lerong Kang as head of its adviser business in south-east Asia. Kang joins from UBS Private Bank in Hong Kong, where she was responsible for developing sales strategies in Greater China. She will report to Kevin Kong, head of the Singapore office. Kong said he was confident that her appointment “will bolster our retail business and private banking capabilities”. Before joining UBS, Kang served as head of business planning at Eastspring Asset Management in Singapore. She has also worked for Citigroup and Standard Chartered.
