Janus Henderson names Japan distribution head

Tomoyasu Tanimoto has been appointed as head of distribution in Japan by Janus Henderson. He will be based in the firm’s Tokyo office, reporting to global head of distribution, Suzanne Cairn. Tanimoto will be responsible for leading the firm’s Japanese distribution strategy and strengthening its business development efforts in the Japanese market. He joins from Fidelity where he worked for 15 years, 13 of which were spent as head of corporate sales. The appointment comes after Janus Henderson named Shinichi Aizawa as executive chairman and president of its Japan office in March 2021 and the two are expected to work closely together.  © 2021 funds global asia
