State Street hires investment strategy chief in Hong Kong

Investment strategyState Street Global Advisors has hired Michele Barlow as Asia-Pacific head of investment strategy and research in its investment solutions group. Based in Hong Kong, Barlow will lead the team that creates customised research and multi-asset investment strategies for investors in the Asia Pacific region. “This appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to diversify our team's capabilities and drive solutions for our institutional client base as we respond to a growing demand for customisation,” said Ric Thomas, global head of strategy and research for the investment solutions group. Barlow joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she led the credit research team for the Asia region.
