Former Accenture executive Harush Chidambaram has been named by HSBC as its head of asset servicing in India.
He will be based in Bangalore for the role.
Chidambaram joins from Accenture India where he held the roles of vice president and senior vice president of operations during his seven-year tenure at the consulting firm.
Prior to that, he worked as vice president for the Indian operations of JP Morgan, BNY Mellon, Barclays Capital and Goldman Sachs.
HSBC has looked to invest further in India over the past 12 months as a result of the growing wealth in the country.
In July 2023, it opened a global private banking office in Mumbai, eight years after it withdrew from the Indian market.
