Fubon Fund Management (Hong Kong) has selected Citi Securities Services to provide custody and fund services for its latest thematic ETF.
Fubon ICE FactSet Asia Battery and Energy Storage Technology Index ETF was recently listed in Hong Kong.
The fund focuses on electric vehicle batteries and energy storage, both of which Fubon views as key enablers in reducing carbon emissions.
In addition to a range of asset servicing, Citi will serve as the participating dealer for the ETF, a mandate which a number of asset servicers are pursuing in order to offer a service that covers the entire ETF lifecycle., from supporting primary market liquidity to fund servicing.
Citi was also one of the first global custodians to win an ETF servicing mandate under the open-ended fund company (OFC) regime that was introduced in July 2018.
