Michael Cross has been promoted to the role of chief investment officer for Asia at HSBC Asset Management, replacing the retiring Cecilia Chan.
Based in Hong Kong, Cross will report to Apac chief executive Daisy Ho and oversee a team of 180 colleagues and assets over US$200 billion.
Cross will also keep his current position of global CIO for fixed income and will continue to report to global CIO Xavier Baraton.
Before joining HSBC AM in 2015, Cross worked for both the Bank of England and the International Monetary Fund.
