UK asset manager Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM) has expanded its presence in Asia Pacific following the opening of its first Singapore office.
The new business will be led by Natasha Mora, managing director, Asia ex-Japan, who has held several senior roles since joining the firm in 2006.
The Singapore office will also house the firm’s newly formed investment stewardship team, led by Trista Chen, designed to spearhead the firm’s ESG activity and engagement in the region.
LGIM chief executive officer Michelle Scrimgeour said the office opening is “an important milestone in our growth strategy”.
It will also add to its two existing offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo, which opened in 2012 and 2017, respectively.
“This new local office affirms our commitment to the region, allows us to pursue new business opportunities and will elevate our ESG advocacy across Asia,” said Scrimgeour.
