State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has named Jermyn Wong as head of SPDR ETF Singapore.
Wong will be responsible for leading the firm’s ETF business in Singapore across all channels, including institutional asset managers and owners as well as financial intermediaries.
He reports to Meaghan Victor, managing director and head of SPDR ETFs Asia-Pacific distribution.
Wong was previously head of Asia ETF business development at Nikko Asset Management Asia Limited Singapore.
“Singapore is home to some of the leading ETF investors in Asia Pacific,” said Victor. “We see growing regional demand for local and internationally domiciled ETFs at a double-digit rate over the last decade, with adoption accelerating since 2020.”
