Italian asset manager Obsidian Capital has launched an affiliate office in Singapore.
The office launch is part of a strategic partnership forged with Singapore-based Asia Heritage Management.
The new office will be led by Chris Lerner, group chairman of Verse Holdings- the parent company of Asia Heritage.
The Obsidian Asia Heritage partnership will focus on private market funds, co-investment and secondaries and providing Italian institutional and high-net worth investors with access to the Asia Pacific market.
According to Giacomo Stratta, Obsidian founder and CEO, Asia represents approximately one-third of Obsidian’s global private equity strategies and the partnership with Asia Heritage “provides us with a strategic vantage point that enables us to be close to the markets and their participants.”
