Asset servicer Citi has been appointed by Australian fund manager BetaShares as its custodian and fund administrator.
BetaShares has a range of ETFs and launched its latest passive fund, the Crypto Innovators ETF, on the Australian Stock Exchange earlier this month.
The mandate brings the number of new clients for Citi Australia to 24 in the past 18 months.
The majority of these news clients have come as a result of a client transfer agreement struck with Royal Bank of Canada in 2020.
“Australia is and continues to be an incredibly important growth market for our securities services business as well as the wider Citi franchise,” said Julie Kerr, Citi’s head of custody and fund services for Asia Pacific.
