German asset manager DWS has named Vanessa Wang as head of Asia Pacific in a move designed to bolster the firm’s presence in the region.
Wang takes over from Holger Naumann, who is set to return to Frankfurt as part of a planned retirement at the end of the year.
He spent four years in the Apac role after having worked for more than 40 years for the Deutsche Bank Group.
Wang will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to DWS chief executive Stefan Hoops.
Wang joined DWS in September 2021 as head of client coverage for Asia Pacific, a role she will retain following the promotion.
